Flickr and an Update to the Portfolio Page

November 23rd, 2008 · 5 Comments

Well, today I set up my Flickr page. This is actually my second attempt at Flickr: the first time I used it was for sharing photos while living in Germany. While that worked great for family and friends, I didn’t keep it up once I moved back. So now my second attempt is going to be focused more on design rather than snapshots of friends. I began with uploading my portfolio so that I could update the Portfolio page with a slideshow. It’s a quick fix for now, but I’m getting closer to relaunching the portfolio side of the site soon. Of course, with the holidays around the corner, I suspect that will take me longer than I’d like…

In any case, go check it out!

There are so many photo sharing options! I’ve kind of done the same thing. I started of using Flickr for sharing personal photos, but I don’t want to pay to do that, and I upload lots of personal photos! Now, I only use it for my photography (I’m a photography hobbiest — is that what it’s called? Or is it amateur photographer? Probably not that. I’m not that good yet!).

Oo: you’ll have to find me on flickr (unless you already did and I haven’t seen it yet…). I’m really not okay with them charging for flickr. When I first got one, it was unlimited for free and then yahoo bought them. ugh. Oh well, we’ll see how long it takes for me to fill it up.

I know. Me neither. I’d rather see adds and have access to all the features. Seriously? I can’t have more than 2 sets for free? Ridiculous.

I didn’t know you lived in Germany. That’s awesome! The history is amazing. I’m wanting to a take a trip sometime to Germany/Europe and visit some of the WWII museums. So did you learn how to speak german while you lived there?

@Tim: I worked there for a summer at a design studio called Stilbezirk in Nürnberg. It was amazing! I’ve actually been studying German since I was in middle school so it was a great opportunity to combine the two.
