…and I’m not referring to a business venture.

Last Thursday, Mig Reyes and friends hosted Merge, their second design meet-up event that I have been able to attend since moving to Chicago. As with last time, word of mouth spread until the party surpassed even last November’s Bevel/Emboss with a whopping 450+ creatives in attendance. Although slightly less intimate than Bevel/Emboss, the energy from everyone was really inspiring: I met some great people and was able to see many old friends. (“Old” being a relative term here seeing as how I just moved to the city last fall…) I would have to say my only major complaint was that it was held on a Thursday night: it was a bummer to leave early and it made it really hard to drag myself out of bed in the morning…

Thanks for posting, Lorraine! I’m looking to see how we can make the event more awesome, in every way possible.
Would you be down to help out? There’s a “Merge committee” of sorts that I’d love to have you on!
Let me know, and keep up the greatness.

@Carolyn: It was! Sad to hear you couldn’t make it in…we’ll definitely have to get together before the next one though…
@Mig: Count me in! I’ll shoot you an email for details.
