Your Financial Life is an award-winning microsite for BMO Harris Bank’s learning center, a hub for financial literacy. BMO Harris needed a site that would not only be responsive, but also highly visual and easily filtered by topic. This design, inspired in part by the scannability of Pinterest’s pins and also the filtering abilities of topics on blogs, was our response to their challenge. When viewed on a tablet or mobile phone, the tiles would simply realign into two and one columns respectively. Filtering was made easy on small screens by reducing down into a drop down menu. It won a Bronze in the “Best New Product or Publication Launch” category of the Content Marketing Awards 2014.
I not only led the creative for this project, but also later managed a small group of designers in developing tiles and/or infographics for each post. In this role, I worked closely with the client and our account team to ensure that the illustration style stayed within brand and on-budget.
